Het Nieuwe Instituut (Museumpark, Rotterdam) offers workspaces for creative entrepreneurs and enterprising creatives in the fields of architecture, design and digital culture under the name Workspace.
Workspace is for creative entrepreneurs and enterprising creatives in the fields of architecture, design and digital culture. Working in Workspace, you will be surrounded by Het Nieuwe Instituut’s programme, have the opportunity to organise activities yourself, be able to use the institute’s facilities and be an active part of the institute’s network of architects, designers and digital creatives.
Through Workspace, Het Nieuwe Instituut is supporting cultural entrepreneurship, innovation, talent development, interdisciplinary cross-fertilisation and knowledge sharing. Het Nieuwe Instituut gives special attention to themes such as urban development, materials innovation, digitisation, automation and robotisation.
Het Nieuwe Instituut views the various design domains from an integrated perspective. Thanks to developments in digital technologies, the once distinct professional fields have quickly grown closer together. With Workspace, the institute is specifically addressing architects, designers and digital creatives.
Workspace provides access to Het Nieuwe Instituut’s unique facilities, including the National Collection for Dutch Architecture and Urban Planning, the Thursday Night Live! programme, the study room, Het Nieuwe Instituut’s exhibitions programme, various spaces for events and gatherings, the bookshop and Het Nieuwe Café.
26 workplaces are available in Workspace. Workspace is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm. The user fee for the desks (per month or per year) includes the use of WiFi, presentation and meeting rooms, access to the museum and programme, and coffee and tea in the workplace.
